Future

Everyone is so excited about the future. Moving on, getting married, going to college, making a career. But I am not excited at all. Leaving all of my best friends? Leaving home? Going to a school where you don’t know anyone and your forced to live on your own? None of that sounds fun to me. Everyone is expecting us to know what we are going to do when we go to college. Everyone says "It's not too early to start thinking." But it really is. I'm in eighth grade, and let me tell you that I do NOT spend my days thinking about my career, and I'm sure no one else in our grade does. I mean yeah it's nice to see what’s out there, but still, I would rather spend my time hanging out with my friends and having fun while it lasts. When the time comes, I'll think.
